Michelle Murphy, Personal Trainer & Office Administrator

I love my job because:

I love my job because it allows me the opportunity to assist others into building and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. Being a trainer is very rewarding, as I get to help individuals achieve their goals. That alone makes what I do worth it. The environment is friendly and encouraging because we are always supporting each other, whether it be in the gym, outside the gym or just in day to day life. I look forward to what I do.  It is what I am passionate about and I’m glad I get the chance to make a difference in the lives of those I work with.

See me if:

I am able to take complicated terms and concepts and simplify them so that I can demonstrate exercises and movements to individuals. My specialty is strength training as well as body weight movements. I also specialize in functional fitness because it can help with day to day tasks such as lifting objects.

What makes me different from others is that I personally do CrossFit, so I have that foundation as well as understanding the basic movements such as the air squat, deadlift, and push press.

I am passionate about fitness and nutrition and love to incorporate these things into my lifestyle!

I believe:

I believe in the phrase “it’s a marathon, not a sprint.” Sometimes in life, when we have a certain goal in mind, whether it be related to health, work, or home life, we try to look for the easiest route which isn’t always the best. To get where you want to be, it’s going to be a journey, there will be highs and lows, and just when you think you can’t go anymore, there’s that extra push, that extra spark inside that keeps you going toward your goal.

This especially applies to the health and fitness training perspective, because people tend to look for the quick fix, the fad diets that are going around, the easy way to reach their goal without looking at it long term as a lifestyle. I’m here to teach and help individuals by showing them that by making gradual changes they’ll have created a sustainable healthy and happy lifestyle for themselves.
